All race results will be posted on this page. We will try to make them availble as soon as possible after each race. Only people who finish the race will be listed in the results.
The most current race results will always be on top.
These are the results for all the Tutu Relay Teams. Please note! We left people in the groups they registered, (All Male, All Female or Co-Ed) and did NOT change their categories unless they asked us to. Based on how people registered, below are the final results.
Thanks to everyone who braved the weather! It turned into a very nice afternoon but the race was cold and rainy. Everyone who ran was rewarded with TWO puzzle piece medals, one was the special Landmark Series with the Key West Ligthouse and the second RAIN medal. This was the best turnout ever running the race AND registering! Thanks to your help we raised over $10,000 for the Anchors Aweigh Clubhouse.
These race results are FINAL. There were some Walkers that changed to Runners, so the Walkers that placed will be contacted and sent the appropriate medals. Thank you.
SPECIAL NOTE FOR 10K Race! For those of you who saw the first preliminary results, there was a 45 second difference in times from what you might have registered on your own. If you took a picture under the race clock, you will also notice it's 45 seconds LATER than what your time said. That's because of a typo when we were first starting the system.
We entered 45 HUNDREDTHS of a second instead of 45 SECONDS. Once we went back to confirm things, we found the error and corrected it. That means the results below are all with the CORRECT times.
Of course the race timing clock is set manually, and it was set to the 45 second WRONG time. We can't change your picture, but know that you did 45 seconds better than what the picture shows.
Thanks for your patience and ESPECIALLY thanks for helping raise so much money!
For those of you who were waiting for the results, we apologize they took so long. We were using a new chip that gave duplicate results for some finishers. In order to make sure everyone was counted properly, we had to review the video footage of the entire race and verify everything with our backup computer. The results are in and it's been triple checked! Thanks for your patience. The times are displayed in 1/10 of a second increments. Where the times appear identical, our computers marked and divided them by 1/100th of a second interval.
The OVERALL winners were Team Tuna! The Masters Team winners (all members 40+ on a team) were Sean's Glazed Donut Eating. Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Special Note: Some people lost their bib running this TOUGH race! Don't worry, we were videotaping the finish AND we had a calling system documenting times and bibs as well. All runners that completed the race are on the list. These are the final and verified times for all runners. Congratulations!
WINNERS - This list shows the times each person crossed the finish line. Please note, there were a couple runners that were unable to see the turn-around point clearly and ran almost a mile out of their way. When the race director calculated the time they were off course and subtracted that from their final time, it changed who the winners were.
The Trojan Race Director determined Erica Boles was the female winner and Jason Ruth was the male winner.
After reviewing video footage of the start and finish of each wave, it was also discovered that some people who were registered for later waves ran in the earlier competitive wave. Those names and their correct times can be found in the WAVES report.
BUDDY PASS RESULTS - The results below are the FINAL and VERIFIED results. There are a couple things for everyone to know so you can understand what's posted.
FIRST - We made a mistake. We started the giant race timing clock wrong, so it added a MINUTE to the time that everyone saw. Don't worry, that clock runs on it's own. It's NOT connected to the timing gear or anything else. It is merely a convenience (or in this case an inconvenience) for the runners. We're getting new clocks next week so that problem doesn't happen again.
SECOND - There was a runner that came in 4th place (Congratulations Derek McCann) but his chip misread. Yes, that happens. Fortunately we also keep a full backup system that caught the error, so he was put back in the proper results order.
The results posted here show your VERIFIED place and winning categories.
Thank you for your help and comments, we are always working to make things better!
